Step
One: Let's Get Started!
All of our documents come in PDF format in
a ZIPPED file. What does this mean? Well, PDF
means Portable Document
Format and it should already be installed
on your PC and MAC if you've recently purchased a new
computer. If you don't have this software you can
download
it for FREE here for the PC and Apple Mac.
Unlike Microsoft Word documents, PDF files
can be used on most Windows PC, Apple Mac, Palm and
Linux-based operating systems.
Note: You will need to ensure you have the Adobe Acrobat 5 or 6 version installed. Simply download the latest version to upgrade if you are using an older version.
Now what's a ZIPPED file? Zipped files means
the documents you've just ordered (along with the instructions
document) are packaged into one file called a ZIP file.
It ends in the .ZIP extension. This helps keep sizes
lower and also means you download ONE file instead of
many.
Remember, every document you buy will contain an instruction
file so you can learn how to fill in the document correctly.
Zip files can be un-compressed in the new versions of
Windows and also with the FREE
software Winzip for the Windows PC and
StuffIT
for the Mac and Linux operating systems which is also
available for Windows PC.

Step
Two: Create A Free Account
Just like the major Internet retailers, you will need
to create an account before you can shop at Legal Documents
Direct. This is very simple to do and will take no longer
then 1 minute before you get going. Once you've created
an account you can order documents quickly without having
to re-enter your address details every time you need
to order. You decide on your own personal password and
with your e-mail address a unique account is created
When you go to the homepage of Legal Documents Direct
for the first time, you will see the following message
on the screen [Fig 1]:

It asks you if you would like to log yourself
in or create an account. Because it's the first time
here click on CREATE AN ACCOUNT.

Of course, once you've signed yourself up you can
login via the LOG YOURSELF IN link. You will
always need to re-enter the password to your account
when you arrive on the site for security reasons. You
will be kept logged in without any activity for around
10 minutes. At any stage you can log off from your account
via the button at the top of the screen.
[Fig 2] shows you
the main box where you input your name, home address,
e-mail address and a password for your account. You
are also presented with the Terms of Conditions for
the site - please do read these!
If you agree your account is instantly set-up and an
e-mail is sent to the e-mail address you just registered
with.
And that's it! You now have an account
with Legal Documents Direct.
Step
Three: Browse, Pay and Download the Documents
On the left hand site of the site there are the various
Legal Document categories

so you can quickly drill down to the document you
require in the relevant section. However, you can also
use our excellent search engine located at the top left
of the screen to search for a specific document and/or
a keyword that will bring up the information you require.

You can also click on the "New Documents"
link to bring up the latest documents added to the database
since your last visit.

Once you are happy with the legal document you need
click the IN CART button and the document
will be added to your shopping basket. The basket will
then display what it currently holds so you can either
carry on shopping or go straight to the checkout.
Once you've clicked on the CHECKOUT
button you are taken through the payment options. If
it's the Free document you are downloading you won't
need to choose anything - everything else you just click
on the Worldpay option.
We use Worldpay because they offer a totally secure
environment for your credit and debit card information.
As you will see from your Web browser (at the bottom)
a small padlock has appeared - always make sure you
see one before you give your personal financial information
over the Internet [Fig 4]
After your credit card has been processed successfully
you will receive a confirmation E-mail from Legal Documents
Direct and Worldpay PLC. Your credit or debit card will
show a transaction for Boost Internet Ltd - this is
the company behind Legal Documents Direct.
[Fig 5] Is the final
part of the order process. At the bottom of the Thank
You page you will see the link to the document you've
just ordered. Click on that link and the download process
will begin. Everything you buy has a Expiry date - normally
set to 1 week from the date of purchase. You can download
the document 5 times before it's removed from your account.
This is purely a security measure. If you need more
time, just let us know!
